The islands outside the inner circle are fairly far and almost unknown to visitors and tourists and are separated into five groups. The Amirantes, Aldabra, Alphonse, Farquhar and Southern Coral Group. Some of the islands offer air strips for planes and the others are only accessible by sea.

Remote and unspoiled, Desroches Island, is lying in the shade of a plantation of coconut palms and surrounded by 14 kilometers from Mahe. Alphonse - Alphonse Atoll
Alphonse is a triangular coral atoll sheltered by the crystalline waters of a turquoise lagoon situated south-west of Mahe. The island offers an array of marine adventure facilities and services as well as the best salt water fly-fishing in the world.

Poivre - Amirantes Group
This private island is renowned for its deep sea fishing and for the impressive diving it has to offer. It is situated 200 km south-west of Mahe and access is only available by sea (one day trip from Desroches).
